Ammar Alo pleads with Washington Officials
Washington DC-- Ammar Alo of Toledo, Ohio stood firmly
and said no to Washington officials Tuesday night in a closed door
meeting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff. President Clinton and Jesse
Jackson both stood behind Mr. Alo as he addressed the crowd in a post
meeting press conference.
Ammar dressed in his native planet's
business attire.
The emergency meeting was called when Ammar Alo, a well known Martian
advocacy activist, learned of President Clinton's planned attack on
Mars. "I don't think it's in the best interest of our country to attack
helpless aliens on other planets," said Ammar in the 40 minute emotional
plea. President Clinton spoke afterwards saying, "It takes a lot of
courage for a convicted Martian to speak out for his people, especially
in an intolerant environment. I am proud to have Ammar among the human
race."
The Reverend Jesse Jackson had tears in his eyes when
he urged the crowd to, "have mercy and tolerance on beings of another
kind. Racism has grown so much recently, let's not extend the hatred
that racism brings to our brethren on Mars. We must love all"
Resident expert, Will Smith was also on hand and was
cited saying, "When I was with the Men in Black I learned to respect
creatures that don't look or act like us. Ammar is just another example
of what God can create. We shouldn't simply annihilate an entire
race--or class--of beings simply because they don't look, think, or
smell like us."
Dan Rather looked puzzled as he was reporting live, "We
have seen an amazing turn of events in the last half hour. One minute we
were preparing the American people for war, the next we are urging
everyone to get along. I don't think I have seen anything like this in
my lifetime."
